A fantastic range of herbs are now available which includes many different varieties of Mint & Thyme, all priced at £1.00 per pot. Herbs are an excellent addition to have in the garden with little maintenance. They can make a stunning display of small flowers and are great to use for cooking.

We have many many varieties of Dianthus in stock ready for Easter. Lots of choice in colour and scented types and priced at £1 each. Dianthus make great displays in gardens, patio pots and window boxes. They can also be cut to make a nice display in the home.
Matthew’s Plants will no longer be able to carry out the refilled basket, pots, tubs, manger & planter orders as we have done in previous years. As a replacement for the service, there will be many planted baskets and various themed pots, tubs & planters available from the beginning of May to the end of
Even with the poor weather today, we are still very busy. Some varieties of Spring bedding plants are now available but please remember to continue with frost protection for another month.
On the lead up to Mother’s Day, we have plenty of beautiful primrose’s in various colours available to brighten up your garden. Reasonably priced at 60p per plant.
Fuchsia’s are now available to buy at £1.20 each. We have many different types and varieties from Bush – Trailing – Upright & Giant, with all having amazing eye catching vibrant flowers. Please be aware that it is still on the cold side for these young plants and indoor shelter is advised until late May.
Despite the snow and cold conditions, Matthew’s Plants remains open for anyone who fancies a trip out. We have some new perennials that have been potted over the weekend including a new variety of Penstemon called ‘Dark Towers’
As of today, Matthew’s Plants is now open at the usual times of 09:00-17:00 Monday to Saturday & 10:00-16:00 on Sundays & Bank holidays. We do ask if face masks can be worn in the greenhouse and polytunnels and also respect social distancing rules. Some new stock for this year is already growing on &
