Japanese Aralia.

Known for its glossy palmate foliage that brings a lush, tropical feel to planting schemes. Fatsia ‘Spiders Web’ is a particularly intriguing variety with speckled markings that spread inwards form the outermost edges. The overall effect is an unusual, frosted appearance. Clusters of globular white flowers in Autumn are followed by black berries. Despite its exotic looks, this evergreen shrub is perfectly hardy.

Fatsia japonica is native to southern Japan and southern Korea, where it grows in coastal woodlands. The ‘Spiders Web’ cultivar is slower growing than the straight species, and grows to a slightly smaller ultimate size.

An excellent choice for a shaded position. Not a fan of being over watered or sitting in water.
